Alex Marchan has been with the firm since 2009 when he was recruited as College Financial Representative.

 

While in the program, he achieved many honors; Summer Lives winner, Winter Camp Qualifier, Target 20, and was the Top 50 of interns in 2010-2011. Alex was offered a full-time contract before heading into his senior year of college and accepted upon graduation. He graduated with a degree in Human Resource Management from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2011.  Within his first six months of his full time contract, Alex achieved Pacesetter 40. He has since wrote 150 lives per year and he qualifies for the new client bonus every year. He has recently qualified for MDRT for the first time, and looks to do Lives Leader Summit. He has also been nominated into the leadership development program and is now a Field Director who oversees the college program and also helps select full time Financial Advisors.

 

Alex strives to recruit and develop a team of his own to help grow the firm by becoming a Growth and Development Director, and looks to be a District Director or Managing Director in the future. On top of his work within the firm, he is on the Southeastern Wisconsin NAIFA board, and currently is the Treasurer and YAT Chair.

Being a financial advisor isn't about handing a client a run-of-the-mill financial plan. It is not about having several conversations about money, or asking about your investment style.  It is about having conversations with people.  It's about family and dreams and legacy. While growing up, Chuck Wierschem always had a dream of starting and building his own practice as well as an inherant desire to help people.  Being financially secure is very important to most people and Chuck enjoys helping them to attain this security.  Through a personal planning analysis, Chuck strives to know his clients and analyze their situation, working with them and advising them as if it was his own family or business.

Chuck Wierschem has been a lifetime resident of Wisconsin. He grew up in the greater Milwaukee area and has two loving parents Tom and Becky and three wonderful sisters.  Chuck married the love of his life Michelle in 2005.  Chuck and Michelle have been blessed with two amazing children, Madysen and Jack.  The Wierschems reside in Germantown, WI.  Chuck looks forward to watching Madysen and Jack grow up to build a life of their own.

In his free time Chuck enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching Madysen's and Jack's many activities.  Chuck pitches on a softball team with many life long friends and loves playing golf whenever he gets a chance. His hobbies include playing poker, fishing, and he is an avid collector of Paul Molitor memorabilia. Chuck enjoy cheering on the Brewers, Packers as well as "coaching" his fantasy football teams.  In the longer term future Chuck looks forward to spending his time traveling with Michelle and spoiling his grandchildren.

While attending Marquette University, Gina Pagán joined Northwestern Mutual as a College Financial Representative in the spring of 2009. During her time in the internship, Gina realized her passion for helping people achieve their goals and dreams. As a College Financial Representative, she was a Target 20 and Power of 10 qualifier, which recognizes some of the top interns throughout the country.  Both years Gina was an intern, the Holter Financial Group's internship was recognized as one of the top ten agencies in the nation.Upon graduation, Gina converted to a full-time Financial Representative after two years of test driving the career in the internship program. Since her conversion, she has achieved Pacesetter First 40 and was invited into the Leadership Development Program, and spent two years developing College Financial Representatives as a College Unit Director. Every day, Gina makes an impact in her community by helping her clients attain what is most important to them.

Gina Pagán grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, and then attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to pursue a degree in Business Administration. While at Marquette, she rowed for their women's team for four years and was an Ignatius Scholar recipient. As an alum, Gina gives back to the rowing program as the head coach for the Novice Women's squad..

Outside of work, Gina resides in Wauwatosa and enjoys all things rowing, being a bit of a geek, and spending time with family and friends.

After college, I went to work in the operations side of the stock brokerage business. I quickly learned that I wanted more than a 9 to 5 opportunity, so I sought out advice from one of the brokers. He said, "Go sell insurance for a few years, and Northwestern Mutual is who you should talk to."

My father died three months after I started with Northwestern Mutual. He was 45 years old, a business owner and father of five. He died doing what he loved - flying his own airplane. Fortunately for my mom, he had enough life insurance to provide for the sale of the business, to help get my siblings through college, and to allow my 42-year-old mom to adjust without him.

My career involves developing personal relationships with clients to help them prepare for the exigencies of life, both expected and unexpected.

Inside the office, I am a proud co-leader of our Diversity & Inclusion Council and member of our Women's Advisory Group. In both cases, I strive to help my office continue to be an ever evolving and welcoming environment, giving each individual the chance to shine with the support of a strong office community.

Steven J. Koppel, JD, CLU®, ChFC® is the Long Term Care Specialist for our Network Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Steve assists financial representatives and their clients in designing and implementing strategies for paying the cost of Long-term health care. Additionally, he is a pioneer in use of Long-Term Care Insurance as an employee benefit.

He is the past president of the Milwaukee Estate Counselor’s Forum and the Milwaukee Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Steve served on the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee Jewish Home and Care Center from 1999-2008.
